Prepare and Enrich - Relationship assessment for both premarital and marital couples
I am a practical, interactive therapist. Sometimes the focus of therapy is to resolve current problems. Other times its focus is long standing patterns of behavior that are not productive. A therapy session is different than a chat with a friend. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths and to identify and achieve life goals. I also help clients foster new skills and eliminate problem behaviors. Whether I am seeing a child, a family, adult, or a couple, I will strive to make each session impactful. Together we can make a real difference in your life!
My practice focuses on couples, children, women's issues, anxiety management and EMDR therapy. I am a certified relationship educator and also utilize Prepare and Enrich assessments to gain insight and to focus on couples' strength and growth areas. When working with children, I find play therapy techniques most helpful. I am passionate about the emotional health of children, couples, and families and therefore focus on relationship interactions. I am also committed to the study and treatment of emotional eating disorders. Both individual or group settings are available for those seeking to make peace with food. I have an eating disorders certificate of completion from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology and certification from Intuitive Eating (a program designed to help people free themselves from chronic dieting and rediscover the pleasures of eating) to help resolve food issues.
